OMG How awful...I can't imagine someone that is supposed to love and cherish you ever lifting a hand but I've been blessed so much in my life to be surrounded by people that really DO love me. I will be praying for this family and hoping that the MRI comes out clean. Your a good friend to be rallying for them, bless you too and just keep reassuring her as I know you are that all is going to be alright now.
