it will only take a few days for it to not bother her at all only reason they get a collar is to keep them from chewing at the stitches you could confine her in a crate possibly with shreded newspaper litter there are also sutures under the skin that hold the muscle & such back together squinting eyes she may have gotten water or something else in them
