Callie absolutly loves it out side and we have a fenced in yard so when we got her we checked and closed any holes in the fence where she could get out and then would just let her out when she wanted to until she came back to the door and eventualy we got a doggy door and she loves to go out anytime she wants and back in whenever she wants.
