The vet said Isabelle is in the beginning stages of periodontis disease. She said out of 6 stages, Isabelle was a 2. The worst were her back teeth. Her gumline was red and would bleed a bit when I tried to brush.
They cleaned her real well and they gave me some dental polish to take home. I have to polish her teeth once every 2 weeks. |
About 85% of dogs and cats get periodontal disease by age 3.
Small breeds are at a higher risk.
