I dont think it gets any hotter than any of my other carriers. And yes it is one of the most practical carriers I own with all the outer pocket space. That is what I love so much about kwigy bo carriers. I have found that it is absolutely necessary to have outside pockets especially if you dont want to carry a handbag and if you are try to take your dog somewhere without drawing a bunch of attention to yourself. I hate the carriers that only have inside pockets so then you have to open the carrier to get somethign out of the pocket and broadcast to the world you have a dog inside. Charlie bag also looks like a purse which is really nice
