I volunteer at our local shelter and I can tell you this is true. We get black labs all the time and they can be the best dogs in the world but people pass them up all the time. I breaks the heart. Its also true for black cats, they are even harder to adopt out. When someone brings in a black cat or a black dog we know that the odds of them being adopted out is slim to none. |
