Bitsy has a full tail and I am personally against docking tails, but I have to admit, I LOVE the look of a docked tail. There's nothing cuter than a wagging nubbie!

I think originally certain dogs have to have their tails docked for the dog's safety. Any dog who has to run through the brush to perform thier jobs (ratters, flushers etc). Other dogs, like the Shih-Tzu and the Maltese are companion dogs who's only job is to warm your lap gets to keep their tail. Their tail are long and curves over the back.
