My daughter (Hannah) went trough chemo for almost 3 years when she was 3 and from the day that started she started to grow up. I couldn't believe how grown up she seemed. She would say or do something that would catch us off guard. Her attitude was always better than mine. If it weren't for her good spirits I don't think I ever would have made it through all of that. I'm positive that the whole situation has taken part of her childhood away from her. She was on some medication that I thought might have caused all this to set in so early, but maybe it's just time. (I was blaming the meds then I could feel better and she wasn't just growing up because she's not my little girl anymore.) My husband doesn't even want to think about her growing up. He says that means boys and he ISN'T going to have that any time soon. We'll see.
