I am a day person also. I have been on swing for almost 4 years.
(6 pm 2 am) It took years to get used to swing. Now I am 6 on the list to go to days and when the time comes I am not sure if I will want to give up the senority I have on swing.

Good luck to you. I found that I have to keep my swing schedule even on my days off. It makes it easier.
