Hey guys,

So I posted this on the breeder forum but I wanted your opinion as well. My Lila is a 8 months old is scheduled for her spaying on 3/21. My vet suggests I do a bile acid test before the surgery (no other bloodwork has been done). But I really can't afford this test but I'm nervous about the risks of anesthesia. Has anyone done the surgery without testing? Should I even risk it?

Also, I'm doing the surgery at a low-cost spay clinic in my area. What do you guys think of these clinics? They didn't even mention anything about preoperative testing other than a physical exam.

Please give me advice because I'm very nervous.
