Hi! I figure what better place to ask than on YT! Ok, I'm ashamed ... I've lived in TX almost all my life but have never been to South Padre Island (been to Port "A" many times, but never South Padre..I always say "thats too far!" LOL.

). We want to go later this year.

Does anyone know any good Dog Friendly hotels/motels on South Padre? I've already done internet searches, thru petswelcome and dog friendly.com, etc, and mostly come up with La Quinta. I mean, we'd stay there and I know LQ's are just fine, but we kinda like off-beat or old motel thingys rather than chains. Hopefully with easy walking distance to the beach. Or heck, even if you've stayed somewhere fancy that takes dogs, let me know.
