Is it sarcoptic or demodectic?

Sarcoptic is contagious to other dogs and to humans but in humans it just makes you itchy for a bit. They can't survive on humans for long.

Demodectic mange isn't contagious and most dogs have it. Dogs with immune systems that aren't working properly allow these mites to get the upper hand and if treatment doesn't work, euthanasia is sometimes considered.
