Nope. Not painful at all. Honestly the worst pain I had was the uncomfortableness from the skin being stretched. It took like 2 weeks for that to go away. I was on pain meds for a good week after my surgery though, because I was so scared of being in pain. I've heard horror stories! And the scar was about an inch long, but it has completely faded. You can not even see it anymore
