Rescues and shelters always need transporters too. When a rescue pulls an animal and has to have drivers make a long trip. They all drive short distances. It is pretty amazing how far these transports can go. They can take a dog from the east coast to the west with a lot of help. Or the shelter might need someone to drive pets to the vet. Or you could offer to evaluate animals for rescues that are in shelters or do home visits. I don't know if you would want to do those types of things but I know they always need help with these things. Good for you for volunteering. If you lived in Va we would welcome you to volunteer at my shelter.
