My guy is larger than average. He's going to be 9lbs fully grown. Right now he is 7lbs. He fits nicely in the crate and curls up still in the back of it. I mainly use it for night time. He sleeps in there for up to 9hrs overnight just fine and holds it until I let him out in the morning.
After he is fully house trained I plan to leave him out. When I'm at work though I leave him out in the kitchen.
