I just got a good update from the doctor. The specialist talks about his red blood count in percent rather than numbers like the other doctor. So his red blood count stayed stable yesterday at 18%, and today it is up to 20%. So he is starting to rebuild his red blood cells
. I am soooo happy to hear this. They have also transitioned him to getting some of his meds orally instead of through the IV and they are weaning him off of IV fluids.
The only slightly bad news is that he had 3 vomiting episodes between 12am and 3am...so they gave him some anti-nausea medication and he hasn't vomited since. If he holds his food down today and continues to do well he may be coming home tomorrow!
