Yikes--baby shampoo is still very drying....I didn't like puppy shampoo either.
I have 2 yorkies that have year-round allergies (lots of itching and reverse sneezing) and need more frequent baths because I take them for walks outside.

I went through a lot of different shampoos before finding something appropriate. I find the 'Petsmart' Lines to be too strongly scented, and not to help with itching. I tried Biogroom, recommended by the groomer that used to visit my home.

My vet finally recommended DermaPet's Malacetic Shampoo and Spray Conditioner--developed by a Dermatologist, and seriously gentle enough to use to bathe them daily if I wanted to. I love and use a lot of their products (ear cleaner, etc). It has a CLEAN, NATURAL, faint apple scent....And they don't smell like walking potpourri satchets...I use the spray-on conditioner if I ever feel like refreshing before their next bath. I liken it to getting a passing whiff of someone that didn't use a scent, but smelled 'clean', like a bar of Dove soap...
