God I'm almost scared to post this, but I'm so worried about Poopanut. *deep breath*

Ok, S'anah was scheduled to be fixed in January. Well, she went to heat about a week or so before her appointment so we weren't able to.

I have a male chihuahua named Harley, who, do to a medical condition can not be fixed (too dangerous and scary to put him under). So, while Susanah was in heat I kept Harley in my bedroom and Susanah stayed with me in the rest of the house. Then at night I switched them so S'anah could sleep with me and Harley slept with my son. I kept doing this from the time S'anah first started getting swollen until just a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to make absolute 100% sure she was not in heat before I let them around each other again.

Well, around the 3rd week of January (maybe even the 4th - its hard to remember because this is also around the time I started getting really sick) Mike, myself, and the kids were all gone for a couple of hours and when we came back my bedroom door was open and I was greeted by both Harley and Susanah in the living room. Naturally I panicked and scooped Susanah up and gave her little hoo hoo one thorough examination. (you have never seen anyone look at a hoo hoo so closely) It did not appear at all that Harley had gotten her.

What has me worried is that since her heat, her little hoo hoo is still swollen (it has gone down some, but is still pretty large) and her nipples are large too. I KNOW these are signs of pregnancy. Its hard to tell if her tummy is any bigger, as she is slightly chubby anyway. Are there any other ways to tell? I don't think she would be far enough long to tell on an x ray would she? And there is just no way I can squeeze $400 for an ultrasound and the vets around here don't believe in payment plans.

God, this can not be happening to me and the Poopanut. I swear I kept them apart except for those few hours and I can not for the life of me figure out how the door got opened and she got out. I promise she is getting spayed ASAP. Its just that I have been really sick so the plan was to get me well then get her spayed before next her heat. I am so sorry ya'll. I feel like such an ass. I honesty did my best to keep them apart.
