Go with it...I think you probably did the right thing. The same thing kind of happened to me with my husband, except he was MY ex and a few years down the road we got back to gether and got married a year later! I couldn't be happier. I knew he was "the one" and I never dated anyone that ever measured up to him. Good luck I hope it works for you!
