At 14 weeks the soft coated pup will still have fluffy feet and a very fluffy body, the hair at the part will not reflect the light. A silk coat will have straight, fine hair on their feet and the coat at the part will start to take on a finer texture that will reflect light. Just remember those cute fluffy pups will oftens grow up to be the wrong texture while the thin, scrawny ones will often turn out to have a proper silk coat.
