I 'doctor up' the hard food at dinner, but I think a bouillion cube would add too much salt, which is not good. I will add cut up green beans, little cut up shreds of chicken, a spoonful of wet dog food or low fat cottage cheese or yogurt....things like that to make it more interesting. I mix it up real good so it blends with the hard food. Just make sure what you're adding isn't something they should not be having.
