We were lucky enough to get Maci into our normal vet today, and she is getting a few more xrays done on her leg. Our vet just wants to make sure that the bone is lined up correctly, so that it will heal correctly.
The vet did say that many times the split method will be okay for a small dog like Maci because she doesn't weigh that much (4lbs). However, she'll know more after the xrays.
