dogfoodanalysis.com is a good site with some good info, but you have to keep in mind that info is based on one person's opinion, not long term research. Please don't let it be your only source while you look for the non-existant perfect diet. (I did and it almost killed mine! )

It's a little less one-sided list MANY sites with research and reviews and explores raw and home cooking as well.
Also important to remember is that what is best for one dog or ranked highest on one site, my not be the best option for YOUR dog. Science Diet is by no means a good quality food, but it is what works best for some dogs.

There is a sticky at the top of this section that give ifno on how to get free samples. You just have to experiement with your options and see what is best for your little one. When you have found a keeper, you'll know from the results it yields.
