If that is the case it is a shame that people would be more interested in money than the pet. However, I would rather see a full grown york sold to a possible good pet home instead of being dropped off at a shelter if it's owners can no longer keep it. There are circumstances where a dog has outlived the owner or a breeder is retiring a dog, so I wouldn't be too quick to judge harshly.
