The hospital remains intact and functioning. Tornado touched down about 13 miles away, and was moving in this direction, but sputtered out. This testifies to the power of all your positive thoughts- So THANK YOU.
Lots of thunder, lightning, pouring rain, and screaming winds...but the entire "ward" slept thru it.
Believe it or not, I am seeing a few SNOW FLURRIES zipping past the window now. Winds are still very strong, but not deadly. Makes me homesick for Upstate NY. NOT.
The patient ate his REGULAR wet food this morning, mixed with some water to create a soft mush. He appeared so happy to get back to the normal food. Ate it all. So it seems he is learning to use that long tongue of his...which, considering the circumstances, is now a blessing.
He has now requested to go back to his second bed, in the bedroom, and take a snooze. Not a bad idea, considering that it has gotten very cold outside, and is still dark and stormy.
Will update later.
