I'm actually not %100 sure. But Tucker's breeder, the vet and all the YT members told me to do it, so I figured it was important and it only cost $40.00 extra. I know that when I went to pick him up, one of the vet techs was speaking to a man about his dog that had been spayed and I overheard her saying that his blood work results showed some type of blood component and they knew to give her extra fluids during her surgery. All I know is that blood work somehow helps to keep them safer during the whole process. Maybe myfairlacy will see this. She's very knowledgable about these things.
