Of course they were eating puppy food too. I let mom take control of this as she wishes too. Some are ready to give them up earlier than others and since we keep ours at least 12 weeks no big hurry for us or mom.
Are you maybe looking at adopting a mother that has had pups? or? LOL

I do the same thing. This last litter was still nursing strong at 11 weeks so I finally had to step in and encourage the weaning process.
