I am a little scared. Zoey's knees are between a 1 and 2. Hopefully I can keep hers from progressing and ending up needing surgery. I went the surgery route with the Shih Tzu I had years ago and it was so sad. Damn near broke the bank too.
If you guys don't mind me asking what is the estimate you were given for the surgery? I can only imagine what it will cost me if I have to do it now. Hobbs was done 7 years ago and in total it cost me around $5500 from beginning to end with his care. |
Well, Codie had the blood work done on Saturday. But the total including surgery, blood work and x-rays (if they are needed) is about $1,200. If he doesn't need x-rays, then it will be a bit less. Plus, you have to get anit-biotics and pain meds. I don't know how much that is but I can't see it being more than $70.
