My daughters were 5 and 8 when I had my son and lot of questions came up. We sat down and explained a decent amount of the birds and bees...well hubby did anyhow. I think you should answer a good bit I do remember a good bit of books that made it easy..there are some that are made that are age appropriate for the stages where they are.
