I grew up in a small town (and my parents still live there)...a town of about 4800. My parents and grandparents own (or owned) several businesses there so almost everyone knows who they are and therefor knows who I am. You know, there is a song called "Everyone died famous in a small town" and it is so true Gosh, I love being in a much larger town now (about 150,000 to 200,000 depending on if college students are in town or not) and it is so nice going places without having to worry about who you are going to run into. In my home town, I HATE going to the grocery store or especially Walmart because you run into so many people and have to talk to all of them. Walmart there is like the "gathering place"..people just stop and talk forever in the middle of the isles. I can't imagine living in a small town again...I like to go back and visit my family, but I've turned into a city girl for sure. It's almost like stepping back in time when I go home... It's a dry county there too (which i think is the stupidest thing ever..what's the point ). Oh small towns...not at all for me anymore
