Did you just switch? If she was brought up on Alpo (yuck), it can take a while to clear that crap out of the system. Also, since she is a puppy, the vet can check to be sure the tear ducts look okay and that none of the lashes are "turned in" (growing toward the eye), ingrown, and check for infection.
