I have a four year old and a 16 months old both boys. I have a 9 month female yorkie and they do great together. My Bikini weighs 5 pounds. They are all great friends!
But it is true, I have to supervise them to insure they don't hurt her. It's a lot of education, but in a couple of years it will pay off!
My best advice, maybe don't go for a 2 pounds Yorkie. Go for a more sturdy one. At 5 pounds, I think this is just perfect. If she goes up to 6 pounds, it will be even better. The kids can play a bit more with her!
