I have a four year old kid and a 6 month old yorkie. They get along beautifully! The only thing is you really have to supervise them together. YOu can't turn your back for one minute. I have taught my daughter respect for animals. She will not pick him up or play roughly with him. I think if I did not teach her that, he would not like her. I think that if you get a yorkie before you have a child, you should expose him to as many children as possible so that when you do start your family, he will already be used to children. Good luck! |
