My boyfriend and I are a young couple and we had a male Yorkie, Kemosabe, for 1.5 yr. He passed away in an accident involving a large dog off a leash (too sad for words). We are hoping to eventually get another Yorkie- I can't imagine having any other kind of dog b/c we love Yorkies SO much. However, because we're a young couple, I'm starting to wonder if we can have a Yorkie and be okay having a child eventually too??? I want both to be safe and happy but we really want to have both. Any opinions? How do we keep the dog safe and still happy??
