I have 2 with LP but both are ok and doesn't require surgery at this time if at all...one is grade 1 the other is grade 2. Both are overweight and now on a diet. Being overweight causes more problems with LP so easier to deal with if the dog is kept at a good weight. I will opt not to have surgery unless absolutely necessary. Both are starting glucosmine to promote healthy joints. Not all with LP require surgery.
