i think it is great! I know that chances are not good of someone honestly coming up to you if your dog goes missing or is stolen and saying they have found your dog but at least if you see it and say.. hey that's my dog.. you have this chip to prove it.. also it's great if they get found by a vet... even if their machine can't read the brnad you have.. it will recognize that one is implanted. i think it is definitly worth the money and peace of mind
