I was concerned about my husband's feelings for Bailey when I got her. Why? 'cause he's a mailman and he hated dogs. All day on his route, dogs bark when he's coming and they bark when he's leaving - never a moment's peace on the route. He always told me no animals belong in the house.
After 11 years of waiting and pleading - I finally got Bailey. And hubby just adores Bailey - I absolutely can't believe it!! Now he talks about the dogs on his route with kindness and compassion. He even takes Bailey along with him in the car to get his morning coffee - just the two of 'em. Of course, Bailey's pink jacket stays home - afterall, hubby is a man and has a reputation to protect. |
