Max does that too...kind of like a little "woof" when he wants for me to play with him, or pay attention to him....if he wants me to go check on something (mainly if he thinks someone is in front of the house or in the back yard), he'll run in, do his little "woof" to get my attention, and then just stare at me and proceed to "lead" me to where he wants me to go look. It's really funny how they DO communicate what they want. He also will do it when he thinks it's time for him to have his "snack"...he starts to run toward his dish, but makes sure I'm following him, LOL. So cute (and so smart, I think
