I think he will come around. How old is he? When I first got Snickers he was 8 weeks old. I was expecting him to be up all night crying and wanting to be held all the time. From day one he slept through the night and never wanted to be held. He seemed to be happy sleeping on the floor or playing with my Boxer than being with me. He also would love other people when they came over. He is now 10 months old and will lay next to me and put his front paws on me for a little head rub. He has really warmed up to me over the last couple of month on his own time. I think it had to do with how he spent the first 8 weeks of his life. He only had 1 other sibling and a 6 weeks they were separated from their mother and each other and placed into their own crate. He learned to be on his own from an early age. It made me sad at first, he was a gift so I didn't know this. But, he has always been a great puppy , pretty much came paper trained and went to outside potty training in no time. I think your pup will come around on his own time. He knows that you are always there for him and just enjoys seeing the people who pop in and out of his life.
