 Their coats might change
Sometimes the puppy cottony coats grow out after their puppy stage, because one of my yorkies I purchased out of state was like that. He had a really knotty, cottony coat when he arrived and I didn't know what to do. But eventually, as his adult coat grew in, it was a lot thicker and silkier. I talked to several breeders and they same the same thing, that the puppy coat is very different from the adult coat.
