I am not so sure that I wouldn't sue her over this !To me you are loosing money over this. You were getting ready to show him and now with no hair that is impossible. Plus (like it or not) you won't be getting as much for his pups now. Had he been a champion his pups would have been worth more. Now before anyone jumps down my throat like it or not it is true. After his hair grows back you could still show him I am sure. It make take longer to get to the ring but you can still do it.
