I agree that it was an unconscionable thing for your friend to to. But....
I am 50 plus years old. There was a time in my life when anger almost destroyed me. Therefore, I am very conscious of long term anger. If you choose to not remain friends with this lady, then so be it, but find a way to dispense your anger. My furbabies are the ones that keep me grounded when things get tough. Let them be your focus during this rough period in your life. You said that one of your furbabies is going to have little ones. That will be such an exciting time! You won't have time to think about anything else.
