I just want to say...I doubt anyone is thinking that. What she did was about respect and boundaries - and she violated both BIG time. In addition, as already mentioned - this also could've been about jealousy and sabotage too (in terms of ruining your chances of showing). I would be FUMING, BLOOD BOILING.
And then, to make things worse - she thinks she's done NOTHING wrong???!!! Yes, it will grow back; yes, he is still cute - but that's not the point. The point is, she had absolutely no business assuming she had the right to change the appearance of YOUR dog. Who does that?
You are smart to cut all ties with this person - bc she doesn't sound like a trustworthy person, nor does she deserve to be part of your life. I'm sorry you had to go through this.
