The vet did not place her on antibiotic, but he believes not to interfer unless necessary. I kinda agree, but want to make sure if she needs it I get it for her fast. Her temp has been up around 102.3 with a regular digital themometer, since her c-section. But she is on a heating pad too. I have been giving her cottage cheese and her soft food and giving her water. She just doesn't want to leave her babies, so I am pampering her and bring her everything. She is not shaking, so far so good. I am just so nervous at this stage. I will be happier when the pups are older. The pups look good so far, nice and pink and full tummies. They go in on Monday for their tails and dewclaws.
Well, the book is really great and would recommend it.
It sounds like it will be a long wait for you. I wonder if pizza and a long walk would work like they say it does for human mommies???? No, just kiding! LOL
T. | And haha, I don't think she could go for a walk...more like a "carry"...but she would certainly take some pizza I'm sure... |
