Matise is a super spy, sniffing out evil doers. He's always on the job using his super spy senses sniffing out clues and uses many disguises, one of his best is as a dust mop. (click on link below to see his disguise)

He can detect when you are leaving him behind, or when all his superspy tricks (aka toys) have been bunched together in a box instead of methodicaly placed aroud the house so they are ready for when he might need them. No case is too big or too small.
