What Bama said!! it is easier to register a dog CKC than AKC but AKC does not inspect breeders. Sometimes they do not inspect at all unless they have had a complaint about you or you have a large amount of litters per year. there are some perfectly good CKC dogs. Believe me, there are puppymills in AKC also and worse. My personal preference is AKC but that is just me.
