Wow, Im sorry to hear that you have so much on your plate right now. It seems like you are on borrowed time to get Lexie trained.
How about trying to take her out every 20 minutes for a day or so and then extending the time by 5 or 10 minutes and keep doing that for a little while. How old is Lexie now? Maybe you need to keep her confined to a smaller area until you have this under control.
