Mine are all trained to go outside, actually I never even heard of people using potty pads inside the house until I came to this site (we've always had Labs & Bella's my first little dog). I guess it's all personal preference. I don't think I would ever use the pads though, I can't imagine dealing with that. It's much easier to use a pooper-scooper outside.
