Here's another question: How many of you all take your dogs to shops and restaurants? We tried to take Cricket a few places a few months ago, but they won't let him in the Wal-Mart or the Costco and I got dirty looks when I brought him into JoAnn fabrics.

Do you take your pups in public? Also, how do you handle issues like knowing when they need to potty?

Do you carry them in your arms, or in a bag? I have a cool bag just for Cricket, but he hates it and will whine and scratch at the mesh parts and it draws a lot of attention to the fact that I have a dog with me.

So where do you take your dogs, how do you know it's okay to take them, and what do you do about how to carry and when to potty?
