Don't work yourself up until you know what you have.....really!
I've seen countless numbers of doctors (primary care, endocrinologists, and ear/nose/throat doctors).
I show all of the symptoms of hypothyroidism...have had all sorts of tests done (bloodwork, CAT scans, nuclear scans, etc)....
What sympotoms are you showing? Also, is one side of your neck larger than the other - if there is a tumor?
I have 2 cysts (not nodules and not tumors, as one doctor said), but I also have a muscle mass that has grown over that side of my thyroid and they said they would not do surgery on it right now because it is to invasive because of that muscle mass!
So, I walk around w/ one side of my neck larger than the other!

Course, I feel it looks worse than it is, but it really isn't that noticable...It is but not too bad!
